As I watched the moon across the sky
I thought "what a lucky girl am I"
to have been at the edge of an abyss
and narrowly escaped it's precipice
having stood there is all I want to note
continuing to escape it's grip is all I'll ever hope
I pray for God to bless and keep
the men and women who fight for peace
