Dear Diary

I had a really shitty day today!

My day started off with someone running down the subway platform, knocking the Latte out of my hand and not even stopping to apologize for their actions. It went downhill from there.

All day I've dealt with egotistical imperious personalities who just won't cooperate with a Firm mandated project which I manage. What I'm finding is that their unwillingness to cooperate comes from a place of envy and frustraton, which right now I've had my full of and will not continue to think about.

I find that office politics comes from peoples inexperience or disinterest in behave like professionals. Grrrrrr!

Instead of thinking about this I'm taking the evening off to do something fun and/or relaxing.

Will report back if I'm successful. If I'm not, I won't bother rehashing it here, I don't want to live through the misery twice.

Update: After preparing a 4 course meal, for no other reason than to have an outlet for my stress, and enjoy said meal of wonderful comfort foods, I feel like a new human being; a little tired and sleepy but relaxed and looking forward to the weekend.

So what are some of the ways you manage your stress?

Update: My 4 course menu started with a soy/ginger miso soup (yum) and ended with an a delicious flan

Hmmm, so glad you asked. ;)

Pizza. Always my number one answer to all of lifes problems.

I used to walk. miles and miles. Can't right now due to schedule but that always helped.

Tonite - I'm going to go settle into my favorite chair in the living room and read until my eyes catch fire.

4 courses of comfort food?? What was on the menue??

Okay, I want to know the menu too! As for me, I deal with stress through exercise (gym or walking/hiking), cooking, reading, or hiding under the covers with alcohol, food, and a book. Depends on circumstances.

OK, I think that LW may be some long lost fraternal twin, except skip the alcohol.

I'm sorry your day sucked. I don't miss that part of working outside the home.

I'm so sorry, Michele. Was the four-course meal bourbon, scotch, beer, and more bourbon? ;)

CHOCOLATE

There really is no other way to handle stress than diving into a bag/box of Chocolate.

*leaving a small box of Godiva's for Michele*
